Zohran Mamdani’s victory party was anything but ‘affordable’ — with pricey cash bar charging $13 for beer

Zohran Mamdani’s freebie-filled agenda didn’t extend to his victory night party that featured a pricey cash bar for his throngs of supporters – including $13 beers.

The jubilation at the Brooklyn Paramount was fueled by Mamdani’s win over former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa – as well as espresso martini coolers that reportedly cost $22 and $15 glasses of Riesling white wine.

The music venue’s menu – including PBR beers at $13, Montauk Summer Ale at $16, Indian Wells Chardonnay for $15 and shaker cup cocktails that cost as much as $22 – was posted on X by Politico reporter Jeff Coltin Tuesday night.

Hampton Water Wine cost $13 while the Paramount old fashioned went for $22 a pop.

Non-alcoholic drinks and pretzel-wrapped hot dogs were a more modest $12 and $10, respectively.

The prices at the party weren’t lost on critics of the democratic socialist, who ran a campaign focused on “affordability” — promising free buses and universal childcare.

“Mamdani had a CASH BAR at his victory party. If you can’t get a free vodka from this guy something tells me the free food and buses ain’t coming. Congrats, suckers,” conservative comic Jimmy Failla posted on X.

While it’s not uncommon for campaigns to expect supporters to pay for their own booze, the Cuomo and Sliwa campaigns were more generous.

Cuomo’s viewing party was an open bar for supporters at the Ziegfeld Ballroom on West 54th Street even if the mood was dampened by the ex-governor’s loss.

Republican nominee Sliwa offered two free drinks tickets per attendee as they awaited the Election Day results at Arte Café, an upscale Italian restaurant on the Upper West Side.

After that, supporters coughed up their own cash for booze. But waiters passed around free fried calamari, meatballs, chicken parmesan and shrimp.

The Brooklyn Paramount, where Mamdani held his raucous celebration, is a music venue in Downtown Brooklyn and was recently renovated.

Backers of Mamdani on hand included Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Stephen Yang for the New York Post

Mamdani, 34, clinched the mayor’s seat Tuesday night with just over 50% of the vote, topping Cuomo’s 41% and Sliwa’s 7%, according to results from the city’s Board of Elections.

His rise to City Hall was helped by the lefty’s push to make the Big Apple more affordable, including cheaper groceries at city-run stores and a rent freeze for rent-stabilized tenants.

He’s said he’d pay for the myriad of freebies by raising taxes on the uber wealthy — but needs Gov. Kathy Hochul and state lawmakers to go along with the plan.
