With runners on first and second with one out, Blue Jays outfielder Daulton Varsho flicked a short fly ball to left-center field.

Left fielder Cody Bellinger came flying in, but his sliding attempt saw the ball bounce off his glove and deflect to Trent Grisham, who flipped the ball in to Chisholm at second base.

As the ball went to second, Davis Schneider — standing at third — dashed home, but Chisholm didn’t immediately turn around, and by the time he did and threw home, it was too late.

Toronto then tacked on three more runs to take a 6-1 lead and chase starter Carlos Rodon from the game after just 2 1/3 innings.
