Also avoiding arbitration were José Caballero, Jazz Chisholm Jr., Fernando Cruz, Luis Gil and Anthony Volpe.
Bednar arrived from the Pirates at the trade deadline and was a dependable arm down the stretch, posting a 2.19 ERA in 22 appearances with 10 saves.
The right-hander earned $5.9 million last season.
The Yankees acquired Doval at the trade deadline from the Giants and received disappointing results from the right-hander.
In 22 appearances, he pitched to a 4.82 ERA with 11 walks in 18 ²/₃ innings. Doval last season received $4.525 million.

Bird appeared in just three games for the Yankees last season after arriving from the Rockies. The right-hander earned $745,000 in 2025.
YES reported that Chisholm will receive $10.2 million. Volpe will receive $3.475 million. Gil will get $2.1625 million. Caballero will receive $2 million. Cruz will get $1.45 million.
Chisholm, who can become a free agent after next season, posted an .813 OPS with 31 homers and 80 RBIs.
It left the Yankees with settlements for all their arbitration-eligible players.
