Yankees’ Aaron Judge diagnosed with flexor strain and heading to IL


Aaron Judge is heading to the injured list, but it seems as if the Yankees have avoided the worst.

The Yankees right fielder suffered a flexor strain in his right arm, but the ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow is completely intact, Aaron Boone said Saturday after the Bronx Bombers lost 12-5 to the Phillies.

Boone said Judge is heading to the IL but said the news was “good” and that the slugger will be a designated hitter when he comes back to the big league club.
