‘WWHL’: Dan Levy Reveals He Had To “Cut” A Guest Star From ‘Schitt’s Creek’ For This Unusual Reason
Dan Levy just spilled some tea about his time working on Schitt’s Creek.
Appearing on Monday night’s (July 14) episode of Watch What Happens Live to promote Smurfs, Dan revealed that he once had to “cut” a guest star from Schitt’s Creek because they were rude to the wardrobe staff.

When Dan was asked to name his “least favorite” character from the hit comedy, he replied, “Let me say this. We had a guest star at one point who was very difficult to our wardrobe team and I cut them out of the show.” The actor, however, did not specifically name the celebrity he was talking about.
Schitt’s Creek ran for six seasons between 2015 and 2020, and starred Dan, his real-life dad Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara and Annie Murphy as a formerly wealthy family that was forced to move to Schitt’s Creek, a dingy town they once bought as a joke, after losing their fortune.
Rumors of a reboot were recently ignited after the Rosebud Motel sign was put back up at the Hockley Motel in Mono, Ontario, where the show was filmed. But according to Dan, that was news to him, too.
“It’s interesting you say that because I, too, just found out that the Rosebud Motel sign was put back up,” he said on WWHL. “I would love to say yes, but I have no idea what it’s doing there. It was just as much a surprise to me as it was to you.”
The actor, who co-created Schitt’s Creek with his dad, was also hopeful that there would be some sort of reboot in the future.
“My hope is that maybe sometime, somewhere [there will be a reboot],” he said. “I think about it all the time. I have a kernel of an idea. I love the show so much and I don’t want to disappoint the show and I don’t want to disappoint the fans. I know it’s easy to just take a check and put something out there, but I care about it too much, and I’m just waiting for that idea to be the right one.”
