Rodman, a member of the USWNT and the daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman, has been cheering on Shelton, 22, in London as he makes a run at his first Grand Slam victory.
During his Round of 16 clash against Sonego, the American ace was supported by Rodman, 23, and his family at the All England Club, which was mentioned on the broadcast by Castle, along with a reference to her father, from whom she’s estranged.
“Her father is Dennis Rodman, who’s one of the greatest sportsmen of all time, in my opinion. The greatest rebounder in NBA history and the biggest wind-up merchant of all time,” he said.
Castle went on to flub Rodman’s name.
“Tiffany Rodman there — world cup-winning U.S. soccer player,” he said, per The Sun.
Rodman, who made her relationship with Shelton public in March, then called out commentators for the error and the mention of her famous father.
“For those who don’t know… my name is TRINITY not Tiffany,” Rodman wrote in an Instagram Story Monday.
“Also, for Ben’s matches he has his family there as a his support system, which includes his dad … my dads not even in MY life no need to bring him up during HIS matches when I don’t even want him talked about during mine. It’s him and his loved ones’ moment. Thank you.”
Rodman was in attendance Wednesday for Shelton’s quarterfinals loss to Italy’s Jannik Sinner.
She sat with Shelton’s sister Emma, who has become a breakout star in the tournament.
The top-seeded Sinner, 23, will face the Novak Djokovic-Flavio Cobolli winner in the semifinals.
