Will There Be A ‘Poker Face’ Season 3 On Peacock? Everything We Know
Another season of Rian Johnson’s hit Peacock series, Poker Face, is in the books. And when the end credits roll on that eventful Season 2 finale, fans will hope they haven’t seen the last of Charlie Cale (Natasha Lyonne).
The sophomore season of the Columbo-style mystery-of-the-week series took everyone’s favorite human lie detector to a funeral home, a baseball stadium, an elementary school, a box store, a gym, a wedding, and even the Grand Canyon Canyon as she ran from a mob hit, solved murders, and attempted to FBI catch the world’s greatest assassin.

In the end, despite her best intentions and efforts, Charlie found herself on the run from the feds, which means there’s potential for a whole new batch of episodes that continue her compelling story.
So has Peacock renewed or canceled Poker Face yet? Will there be a Poker Face Season 3? Is this truly “The End of the Road” for Charlie? And if the series returns, when will Poker Face Season 3 premiere and what can we expect from the series moving forward?
Here’s what to know about the future of Poker Face on Peacock.
How Many Episodes Are In Poker Face Season 2?
While Poker Face Season 1 had 10 episodes, Season 2 consisted of 12 episodes, which means Season 2, Episode 12, “The End of the Road,” which premiered on July 10, 2025, served as the season finale.
Will There Be A Poker Face Season 3 On Peacock?
As of Poker Face‘s Season 2 finale date (July 10, 2025), Peacock had yet to renew the series for Season 3. But that’s not to say new episodes are out of the question. Poker Face is one of Peacock’s most acclaimed original series, it won an Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series and was nominated for three more, not to mention the series is Certified Fresh with an impressive 97% Rotten Tomatoes score.
While the buzz for Season 2 may not have felt as strong as Season 1, shortly after the sophomore season premiered, Peacock revealed the series debuted as the #2 streaming original based on average audience in the same week. Per Nielsen data, it also launched as “a Top 5 original title across all streaming based on minutes viewed.” Johnson and Lyonne are an iconic team that I’m sure Peacock would hate to lose, plus, each episode pulls in major guest stars.
When chatting with Decider ahead of Season 1, former co-showrunner and current EP Lilla Zuckerman said, “I certainly think I have 76 seasons worth of ideas… The wonderful thing about this show is that it is designed to just be an ongoing thing, because it is so episodic that you can set one of these murder mysteries anywhere. And I think what we wanted to do was really peel back and take a look at the heartland of America and the characters that are there, and really surprise people with where we could set these stories.” Sounds like there’s much more potential, so stay tuned for an official decision.
When Will Poker Face Return With New Episodes? Poker Face Season 3 Premiere Date:
Since Poker Face hasn’t officially been renewed for Season 3, there’s no official Season 3 premiere date yet, but if the show does return, it could take a while. Season 1 aired from January 2023 to March 2023, and Season 2 aired from May 2025 to July 2025. The 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes altered schedules, so there’s a chance that a new season wouldn’t take two years to create. But ultimately, we’ll have to wait and see what Peacock and Johnson have in store.
If you’re looking for a detailed Poker Face Season 2 finale recap, Decider’s got you covered. For the purposes of Season 3 predictions, however, here’s what you need to keep in mind. Like Seasons 1 and 2, Poker Face Season 3 would likely stick to its classic mystery-of-the-week format, and would presumably see Charlie traveling the country, because she’s on the run again! This time, she’s wanted by the FBI for aiding and abetting a serial killer, getting a Federal witness killed, and committing a bunch of other crimes — though in her defense, she always meant well and was framed by The Iguana, aka Alex, who’s still on the loose! Poker Face Season 3 would also undoubtedly feature more stellar guest stars. The possibilities are endless, so fingers crossed we haven’t seen the last of our favorite human lie detector.
