Why ‘uncomfortable’ Ana De Armas reportedly ended Tom Cruise relationship

Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise’s relationship was “Mission: Impossible” because the actress allegedly became “uncomfortable” with her “Deeper” co-star’s pace.

The breakup was “Ana’s decision,” Us Weekly reported on Thursday.

“Things were moving fast and she started to get a little uncomfortable with how fast it was going,” a source told the outlet despite their “undeniable chemistry.”

Although the “Ballerina” star, 37, “put the brakes on,” she “still likes [Cruise] a lot,” the insider clarified.

“They have a connection,” the source shared. “They will see how things go in the future. … Tom and Ana are done for now.

“They want to remain friends, but she needed to take a step back,” the insider continued.

The duo sparked romance rumors in February, with the outlet claiming their connection began during “training for the intense underwater sequences” as they “spent every day together.”

The source recalled, “It started as a deep professional respect and then it ignited. Tom was completely captivated by Ana.”

As for de Armas, the Golden Globe nominee reportedly “enjoyed [Cruise’s] company” and found him “fun to be with” since he “supported her and everything she wanted to do.”

Reps for Cruise and de Armas did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.

News broke earlier this month that they had called it quits.

The Daily Mail subsequently reported that de Armas and Cruise, 63, “ended up realizing that they should keep it professional” since they “wanted to save the future of their friendship and their movie.”

The outlet alleged, “Like any good movie, it all comes to an end, and that was the case for Tom and Ana.”

Cruise has been married three times to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes.

The “Knives Out” star, for her part, divorced ex-husband Marc Clotet in 2013, moving on with Ben Affleck and Cuban President Díaz-Canel’s stepson Manuel Anido Cuesta.
