As Season 9 progresses, Blake and Emma get serious. The only problem? Well, there are many! But the main problem as it relates to Selling Sunset? Emma’s bestie Chrishell Stause hates Blake. No seriously. As their pal Chelsea Lazkani says, “I think she thinks he’s Satan.”
So who is Emma Hernan’s boyfriend, Blake Davis? Are Blake and Emma still together after Selling Sunset Season 9? And why are Blake and Chrishell feuding? We’ve got answers! Here’s what to know about Blake on Selling Sunset Season 9, his relationship with Emma Hernan, and why Chrishell doesn’t approve.
Who Is Blake Davis On Selling Sunset Season 9? Everything To Know About Emma Hernan’s Boyfriend
In Emma’s own words, “Blake is 27 and he is…a real estate heir, you could say. His dad also was part of inventing microwave popcorn, but his real estate is what made the real money.”
When asked what it is about Blake that makes Emma keep going back to him, she continued, “I don’t know. I haven’t dated anyone else since I met him. And I feel like I keep coming back to him and there is something about him…We have a good time together. And seeing him with my family is what makes me really like him. He’s very family-oriented. He wants a family [like me].”
Throughout the season, Emma notes that Blake is based in Florida and doesn’t work. She also explains, “He’s a touch on the immature side, for sure. Nevertheless, she invited him to drinks with Chelsea and Chrishell because their approval means a lot to her.

Before Blake arrives, Emma tells her friends, “The first dinner we went to together he literally told me, ‘I’m gonna marry you.’” She admits, “He’s growing on me,” to which Chrishell warns, “Okay, but mold also grows on things, so be careful.”
During Blake’s brief Season 9 screen time, he reveals his signature drink is a “Double Grey Goose and Sprite. No garnish.” He loves a Cheesy Gordita Crunch from Taco Bell — without lettuce, because, “I’ve never had a fruit or vegetable in my life.” When Chelsea asks what his body odor smells like without basic nutrients from veggies and fruits, he replies, “Vodka and chicken fingers. Maybe a hint of mac and cheese?” He also fails to realize that there’s “some kind of plant” in Emma’s plant-based empanadas or guacamole, which Emma made him try and he doesn’t like because it “looks like baby shit.” He admits he didn’t know where Boston was. And he also shares his not-so-cute meet-cute with Emma:
“I saw her on the Explore page, she was really attractive. I messaged her, ‘Are you married?’ Cause if she had a boyfriend, I can fix that, but I’m not messing with anybody’s wife. You can get shot over that. She didn’t say anything. So a year and a month later I thought, ‘Maybe I’ll check again?’ And we went to dinner…”
Emma laughs through the awkwardness of it all, but Chrishell still isn’t impressed.
“I obviously want to try to get to know him and try and get past my misconceptions, if that’s what they are. But it feels like I’m having a conversation with a child. Or a drunk teenager,” she says. “Eat your vegetables, kids. Because if not, this is what you’re gonna turn into.”
Blake Davis And Chrishell Stause’s Feud, Explained: Why Doesn’t Chrishell Like Emma’s Boyfriend?
On top their not-so-great drinks outing, Chrishell explains some of her issues with Blake as the season progresses. “You don’t want to feel like you’re being someone’s mom and having to teach him all these things. It just feels like you’d be his mom a little bit,” she tells Emma in Episode 4. “I hope he’s still maturing, god forbid he doesn’t!”
In Episode 5, after Emma reveals that “he gets a lil cray-cray” and doesn’t want her to work or have a career, Chrishell says, “What a douchebag…Somebody like him, who was born with a bank account, he doesn’t work, he doesn’t want you to work. He takes this hot, independent woman that he’s attracted to, and takes away her access to her own money, then takes away her friends. He isolates you from the people that care about you. He does all those things and you’re left basically up to him. His goal at this point would be to get you tied in the ultimate way, so please be very careful, because that’s the next thing in the playbook. How do I control her, I knock her up?”

In Episode 6, Chrishell gets right to the point, saying, “He’s in the do-not-date category. There are a lot of reasons why I do not approve of Blake. He’s really controlling. I’ve seen him be extremely obsessive. He tries to control different things she says, does, who she hangs out with, who she posts. Huge red flags.”
Outside of Selling Sunset, fans notice Chrishell and Emma have been distant on Instagram, and that Chrishell and Blake have beef even when the cameras aren’t rolling. In May 2025, an Instagram user asked Chrishell what was happening between her and Emma, and Chrishell replied, “Ask her about her MAGA bf who told me pronouns are dumb and that he likes to use the N word. I just can’t with that. Too old to allow that in. But love her from afar.” In response, Blake spoke to the Daily Mail and claimed he only met Chrishell “a handful of times,” with the last meeting taking place “a year-and-a-half” earlier in January 2024.
“We are barely acquaintances and we know very little about each other’s beliefs and lives,” Blake continued, claiming the two “have never discussed political views” but that he did use the wrong pronouns when addressing G-Flip. “I regretfully referred to G Flip as Chrishell’s wife,” Blake said. “Ms. Stause corrected me that they were partners and that G Flip goes by the pronoun them. Since, I have respectfully used the preferred pronouns.”
Though it sounded like Blake might have wanted to smooth things over with Emma’s former bestie, per Cosmopolitan, in response to Selling Sunset‘s Season 9 trailer, Blake reportedly “[went] off on Chrishell in a series of Instagram Stories,” and even posted a poll asking if he should “sue the bitch for lying her dick off about me.” Yikes.

Are Blake And Emma Still Together After Selling Sunset Season 9?
If you watch the entirety of Selling Sunset Season 9, you’ll learn that Blake proposed to Emma, she went to a jeweler and tried on a $2 million engagement ring, and she ultimately told Chrishell, “So your least favorite person in the entire world did ask me a bigger question. And I ended things with him, like for good for good.”
“He proposed, and obviously I knew it wasn’t right when he did it. Worst proposal ever, by the way,” Emma explained, implying that Blake was drunk when he popped the question. “I ultimately just came to the realization that so many things transpired that he’s just not my person. The final straw was when I realized that Blake wasn’t okay with the life I live. The more involved we got, the more jealous and possessive he got. Any time I told him I was going to a listing appointment or a meeting, it really bothered him. So ultimately I had to make the tough decision to end things with him.”
So what’s Blake and Emma’s relationship status today? Welp! It seems like they’re back together! In the Daily Mail interview, Blake said he and Emma had been together since December 2023, and despite the alleged breakup in Selling Sunset Season 9, Blake posted couples photos of them on vacation together in Turks and Caicos on Instagram SIX DAYS AGO.
In late September 2025, Emma also posted a TikTok video of her and Blake doing a couples challenge together on a beach. So, uh, yeah! It seems like they’re a couple again.
“It doesn’t feel like [Chrishell is] ever gonna be supportive of Blake and I dating. However, who I date is my choice,” Emma told cameras during Selling Sunset Season 9. So as far as a post-failed-engagement reconciliation timeline, or Emma’s friendship with Chrishell, we’ll have to tune into the Selling Sunset Season 9 reunion, set to premiere November 5 on Netflix, to hear the latest updates.
