That’s right The Summer I Turned Pretty fans. The Prime Video series, inspired by Jenny Han’s best-selling books, is back for its third and final season. And with a new summer comes lots of new friends — college friends, to be exact.

Belly (Lola Tung) and Anika (Sofia Bryant) are tight. Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) has his frat bro Redbird (Tanner Zagarino), and we’re happy to see that Conrad (Christopher Briney) is growing close to Agnes (Zoé De Grand Maison, not Sadie Sink).

Who Is Agnes In The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3?

In The Summer I Turned Pretty‘s two-episode Season 3 premiere, Agnes appears in several scenes with Conrad and we get a sense of just how close they are. In the show, Agnes is a fellow pre-med Stanford student who gets the same summer clinic residency job as him. But her and her relationship with Conrad are noticeably different than they were in Han’s third book in TSITP series.

In the text, Conrad describes Agnes with wavy dirty-blond hair cut at her chin, glasses, and skin as pale as milk. He says she’s in his chem class, he said yes when she asked him out, and the two occasionally hook up. In the show, the friends spend a lot of time together, too, but the vibes seem far more platonic — at least based on the first two episodes. In the show, Agnes says that Conrad was “clear from the get go” that he wasn’t interested in a relationship, but as they drink celebratory beer together at a bar, they do reenact a similar scene from the book, in which Agnes asks Conrad if he’s ever been in love and he tells her about Belly.

In the show, Agnes has longish, curly red hair. She’s unafraid to tell Conrad the truth, even if it’s not what he wants to hear, and she genuinely seems to care for and want the best for him. It’s refreshing to see Conrad have a healthy relationship at school that brings him joy and calm, while inspiring him to be better, both personally and professionally. So I, for one, hope there’s more Agnes still to come.

Who Is Zoé De Grand Maison on The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3? What To Know About The Actor Who Plays Agnes

Agnes is played by Zoé de Grand’Maison, a 30-year-old Canadian actor who amassed two dozen IMDb credits since kickstarting her on-screen career in 2012. Zoe has starred in popular TV series and movies including Played, Fortunate Son, Murdoch Mysteries, Bad Hair Day, and more, but on TV, she’s likely best known for roles of Gracie Johanssen in Orphan Black and Evelyn Evernever on Riverdale.
