Where was AOC’s fury at antisemitism during Columbia protests?

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez finally issued a full-throated condemnation of pro-Hamas goons, but she owes voters an explanation for her history of standing up for antisemites.
On Friday, AOC slammed the roughly 200-strong mob of anti-Israel demonstrators who chanted “Say it loud, say it clear, we support Hamas here” just outside Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills, and steps from a yeshiva, Thursday night in Queens.

In her usual Internet-snark tone, she posted: “Hey so marching into a predominantly Jewish neighborhood and leading with a chant saying ‘we support Hamas’ is a disgusting and antisemitic thing to do. Pretty basic!”
This was one of many condemnations from various Democrats; seems they all got the same set of talking points in their inboxes: Gov. Kathy Hochul and Sens. Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand all began their posts with: “Hamas is a terrorist organization.”
Cookie-cutter, sure, but at least Schumer, Gillibrand and Hochul have been fairly consistent in slamming explicitly pro-Hamas rhetoric since the Oct. 7, 2023, terror attacks on Israel.
AOC, on the other hand, is pulling a complete 180; is she expecting everyone to just forgets her record of defending this kind of garbage?
The protesters’ chant was a brazen show of support for the terror group responsible for the slaughter of Oct. 7, and plenty of other atrocities before and since.
It was vile, it was antisemitic, and it was a pretty run-of-the-mill pro-Palestine demonstration.
That is, the hate was in line with the bile offered at countless anti-Israel marches, rallies and sit-ins, including at the Columbia University encampment, which AOC proudly championed.
She praised the “peaceful” protests that were forcing Jewish students to flee campus and slammed the university for calling in the NYPD to clear out demonstrators after they ignored multiple deadlines to disperse.
In April 2024, she visited the campus in support, telling protesters “the leadership you have is so fantastic” — days before rioters broke into Hamilton Hall and draped an “Intifada” banner down the side of the building.
Columbia protesters chanted “globalize the Intifada” and “death to the Zionist state,” slogans with the same purpose and meaning as chanting “we support Hamas” outside of a Jewish house of worship.
Where was AOC’s fury then?
It’s nice that she’s finally woken up to the fact this messaging is “disgusting” and “antisemitic,” but she has some explaining to do: Like why she thought terror-boosting rhetoric was acceptable up until about five minutes ago.
Until she does that, her callout rings hollow — and hypocritical.
