Where Is Alyssa Farah Griffin? ‘The View’s Republican Co-Host Misses First Episode After Democrats Sweep Elections

Alyssa Farah Griffin was missing from The View this morning, meaning she wasn’t able to give her take on the Democratic sweep in Tuesday’s (Nov. 4) election. Still, her co-hosts—Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin, and Joy Behar—were there at the Hot Topics table to celebrate in her absence.

Griffin—who announced last month that she and her husband are expecting their first baby together—was last seen on The View yesterday, during which she claimed that President Donald Trump was “secretly rooting” for Zohran Mamdani (New York City’s mayor-elect) to win the election.

“I think he is dying to run in the midterms, have Republicans running, and try to paint Mamdani as the face of Democrats,” she said, speculating that Trump will be “cutting ads” accusing the entire party of being “Democratic socialists” in an effort to win over “vulnerable Democrats in swing districts.”

So, why was Griffin missing from today’s episode of The View? And when will she be back? Keep reading for everything we know.

Where is Alyssa Farah Griffin today?

From the sounds of it, Griffin had to call out sick today (a case of morning sickness, perhaps?). Once everyone was settled in their seats, Goldberg said, “I have to let you know, Alyssa’s not here today. She’ll probably be back tomorrow. Feel better soon.”
