When Is ‘The Buccaneers’ Season 2 Coming Out? Channel, How Many Episodes, And Season 1 Recap

The Buccaneers is back! Apple TV+‘s electrifying Gilded Age drama has finally returned for Season 2. When we last left Nan St. George (Kristine Frøseth), she had decided to marry Theo, Duke of Tintagel (Guy Remmers) instead of following her heart and running away with his best friend, Guy Thwarte (Matthew Broome). Instead, Nan used her lavish wedding as cover to get her pregnant sister Jinny (Imogen Waterhouse) out of her abusive marriage to Lord Seadown (Barney Fishwick).

Of course, The Buccaneers Season 1 also ended with one doozy of a cliffhanger. Apparently Nan’s birth mother isn’t just alive, but waiting to meet her newly noble daughter back at Tintagel Castle!

The Buccaneers Season 1 Recap:

Can’t remember what happened in The Buccaneers Season 1? The first season of The Buccaneers followed five vivacious American heiresses — Nan St. George, her older sister Jinny, Lizzy Elmsworth (Aubri Ibrag), Mabel Elmsworth (Josie Totah), and Conchita Closson (Alisha Boe) — as they moved to England to land blue blood husbands. Conchita struggles to fit in with her handsome husband’s family, Lizzy is sexually abused by Lord Seadown, who marries and abuses Jinny, and Mabel sparks a secret sapphic romance with Honoria (Mia Threapleton).

However the main story followed Nan as she finds herself torn between Theo, the Duke, and his best friend Guy. Nan’s happiness is further jeopardized when it’s revealed she was born out of wedlock, a result of one of her father’s affairs. Theo accepts Nan’s background and they agree to wed. The night before the wedding, however, Guy and Nan declare their love and have sex. They are about to run away to Italy together when Nan realizes the pregnant Jinny is being battered by Seadown. Nan colludes with the Duchess of Tintagel (Amelia Bullmore) to sneak Jinny out of the country with Guy while she marries Theo.

The final bombshell of the season? Nan’s birth mother is alive and at Tintagel.
