Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison suspended three games
The NFL has suspended Jordan Addison three games after he violated the league’s substance abuse policy, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Vikings’ wide receiver pleaded guilty to a “wet reckless” last month, taking a lesser charge in a DUI case from last July after being found “asleep behind the wheel” near Los Angeles International Airport.

He was determined to have a blood-alcohol content higher than the legal limit of .08 percent.
Addison was placed on 12 months of probation and forced to pay a $390 fine and complete two online courses.

“While Mr. Addison’s case would have made for a great trial, I admire him for taking responsibility by accepting the city attorney’s ‘wet reckless’ offer,” Addison’s attorney, Jacqueline Sparagna, said in a statement after the wide receiver entered the plea deal. “Now he can put this incident behind him and solely focus on his promising career.”
The third-year pass-catcher will miss the Vikings’ first three games, a road game against the Bears in Chicago and home games in Minnesota against the Falcons and Bengals.

Addison will still be eligible to take part in training camp activities and play in the Vikings’ preseason games without restrictions, per Schefter.
Shortly after his arrest, Addison admitted that he was in a “dark place” after the incident, and would “stand tall” through “whatever disciplinary actions that come [his] way.”
In July 2023, Addison was cited for driving 140 mph on I-94 in Minnesota.
Since being drafted No. 23 overall by Minnesota in 2023, Addison has 133 catches for 1,786 yards with 19 touchdowns over two seasons for the Vikings.
