Victor Cruz vents Giants frustrations after botched kick attempt

Much like the rest of Giants fans, Victor Cruz was going through it Monday night.
Taking to Instagram after kicker Younghoe Koo botched a field-goal attempt in Big Blue’s 33-15 loss to the Patriots on “Monday Night Football,” the retired Giants wideout vented his frustrations in the comments section of “SportsCenter’s” recap of the primetime debacle.

“I just threw my drink across the room,” Cruz commented, sparking a chain reaction from viewers still digesting the kicking calamity.
One user posted, “So did we all [this s–t] is unwatchable,” while another wrote, “Reasonable crash out.”
It was a night the Giants probably wanted to erase from memory from the start.
After falling into a 17-0 hole in the first quarter, the Giants finally got on the board in the second with a touchdown.
Trailing by 10 with roughly six minutes remaining in the first half, Koo lined up for a field-goal attempt but failed to connect with the ball, resulting in holder Jamie Gillan scrambling with the rock before being taken down by Patriots defenders.
“I was approaching the ball and, cold weather, the ball kind of slipped out at the bottom so it was moving,” Koo said “I wasn’t able to kick through the ball. The ball was moving when I was driving to it, so I just pulled up on it.”
Cruz, a Super Bowl-winning receiver with the Giants, wasn’t the only team alum baffled by the Charlie Brown-like scene.
Eli Manning, who tossed passes to Cruz during their seven seasons as teammates, expressed disbelief on ESPN’s “ManningCast,” where he watched with older brother Peyton Manning and guest Danny DeVito.
“I’ve never seen that. I’ve never seen that,” the two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback said.
The Giants fell to 2-11 with the loss and are now on a bye.
They return to action Dec. 14 at home against the Commanders (3-9).
