Recently, celebrity wedding gown designers Vera Wang and Christian Siriano have joined the debate, sharing their predictions with E! News at an event on Tuesday.
“I kind of had a feeling that was going to happen. I’m so happy for her,” Wang, 76, shared at the DKMS 19th Annual Gala on Oct. 14 about the couple’s recent engagement. “I don’t think there will be just one [dress]. That would be my guess.”
Given the frequency with which Swift likes to shake things up, outfit-wise, we’re not surprised.
At the same event, Siriano, 39, had a more specific vision in mind. “Taylor, I think, will be in lace of some sort,” he surmised.
It’s an educated guess, given that Swift has incorporated lace into her wardrobe in almost every era since getting her start in Nashville in the early 2000s.
She has also worn wedding dresses in a handful of music videos, including the iconic “Love Story” fairytale Reem Acra design in 2008, and a more contemporary Nicole + Felicia Couture ball gown for her 2021 video for “I Bet You Think About Me.”
Notably, both of these predate her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce, which began in the summer of 2023 during Swift’s epic Eras Tour.
Were the romantic white dresses that prevailed throughout her “Tortured Poets Department” iconography a sign of things to come?
The singer’s 11th studio album, released in April 2024 and immediately incorporated into her performance during the Eras Tour, debuted almost a full year after Swift and Kelce became an official couple.
Just two months later, Kelce made a surprise appearance onstage at London’s Wembley Stadium during Swift’s performance of the song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” the second single from her “Tortured Poets Department” album. He was dressed in a top hat and tuxedo with tails, joining Swift for a comedic skit in which he helped with a costume change.
As for what Kelce will wear for the big day?
His style is as much of a toss-up as his bride-to-be’s. But, we’re betting it’s not a pair of designer suit shorts.
No matter what the happy couple wears on their big day — whenever it is — we’re confident that this is just the beginning of their love story.
Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
