Hill’s tweet, which did not include any text, comes after the Dolphins fired their fourth-year coach following a 7-10 mark to seal their second consecutive losing season.

“Coaching this team and being a part of this great franchise has been the honor of a lifetime,” McDaniel said in a statement. “When I took this job, I had a vision of a team that was bonded together and played with passion and energy on the path to winning championships.

“I gave everything I had for that goal. I am disappointed, especially for the fans, that we did not have better results on the field, but I am grateful for every coach, player, and staff member who poured themselves into that vision alongside me.”

It was a turbulent 2025 season for Miami to say least.

In October, the Dolphins fired their longtime GM Chris Grier and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa issued an apology for calling out this teammates and airing the team’s dirty laundry.

Hill was limited to just four games this season after suffering a gruesome season-ending knee injury in Miami’s 27-21 win over the Jets on Sept. 29.

The 32-year-old All-Pro wideout carries a nearly $51.9 million cap hit in 2026.

Cutting Hill with a post-June 1 designation would save the Dolphins $36 million on the cap — and could help the club figure out Tagovailoa’s massive contract, as noted by ESPN NFL analyst Aaron Schatz.

Tagovailoa is guaranteed $54 million in 2026, and $3 million of his 2027 salary becomes guaranteed on March 15, per ESPN.

Hill agreed to a three-year contract worth $90 million in August 2024.

In a series of Snapchat story posts this week, Hill hinted at a potential reunion with the Chiefs.

Hill — who thrived during his six seasons with the Chiefs from 2016-21 before being traded to Miami — shared a clip of himself responding to a fan message that said, “I miss you at KC Reek.”

“That’s so sweet of you this morning,” Hill said. “We’ll see what happens in the offseason baby.”

On Tuesday, Hill played a game of “This or That” on his Snapchat story.

He included a photo of his Chiefs helmet with a smirking emoji, followed by another photo of his Dolphins helmet, including a bulging eyes emoji.
