Tyreek Hill lobbies for Jalen Ramsey to stay with Dolphins despite trade buzz
Tyreek Hill does not want the Jalen Ramsey to leave South Beach.
Hill told the Fanatics Fest crowd on Saturday that he was hard at work to get his star cornerback to stay, despite Ramsey having been on the trade block for months.

“I’m going to hang out with Ramsey,” Hill said, “I’m going to get him back, full-court press, I’m getting him, Ramsey, back in a Dolphins jersey.”
Keeping Ramsey in Miami will be a challenging task for both Hill and Dolphins brass.
The 30-year-old was named the best cornerback in the NFL three times and is a seven-time Pro Bowler.
As the No. 5-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Ramsey quickly became for defensive force for the Jaguars, eventually moving to the Rams in a midseason 2019 trade.
Since coming to Miami in a 2023 deal with the Rams, his production has trended downward.
Ramsey has played in 27 games with the Dolphins, recording five interceptions and 16 pass deflections over the past two years.
The main reason Miami might send him to another team is due to his contract: In 2024, Ramsey signed a three-year extension worth $72 million. At the time, that made him the highest-paid cornerback in the NFL.
With Ramsey’s $24 million cap hit, his contract would be one of the first that would need to go if the Dolphins’ front office wants to enter a rebuild.
Currently, Miami is positioned between a playoff contender and a team that may need to enter a rebuild sooner rather than later.
It’s not enough to deter Hill, the speedy star wideout.
“He’s a dog. He’s one of the best corners in the league, man.” he said of Ramsey. “Great leader, great teammate too, though. That’s what he doesn’t get a lot of credit for.”
