Tyler Shough’s wife celebrates Saints rookie QB’s first TD in debut
Tyler Shough’s wife was proud of the Saints rookie quarterback after he outplayed veteran Spencer Raller during the team’s preseason opener against the Chargers on Sunday.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Jordan Shough reposted a clip of her husband’s 54-yard touchdown to wide receiver Mason Tipton as New Orleans trailed L.A. in the third quarter, 17-3.

“Just my husband’s first NFL TD,” Jordan, 25, wrote, including a teary-eyed emoji and a Saints logo.
The score followed a turnover by Shough when he was picked off by Chargers cornerback Eric Rogers, who returned 43 yards for a touchdown.
Shough started off hot by leading the Saints to their first score of the game — going 5 of 8 on the drive to set up a 31-yard field goal by Blake Grupe before the end of the first half.
Shough completed 15 of 22 attempts for 165 yards and a pick-six. He was sacked twice in the 27-13 loss.
Rattler, a 2024 fifth-round pick who went 0-6 as the Saints’ starter last season, went 7 of 11 for 53 yards. He was sacked three times.
Shough was replaced by Jake Haener, who went 5 of 8 for 41 yards and an interception on New Orleans’ final two offensive possessions.
The Saints selected Shough, 25, out of Louisville with the 40th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft in April.
The couple and their adorable pup, Murphy, became viral sensations after the Saints’ selection in the second round.
Shough and Jordan also celebrated their first wedding anniversary this past April.
Shough showed flashes of potential on Sunday — particularly arm strength with downfield passes and confidence.
The Saints play the Jaguars on Sunday, Aug. 17, before closing out the preseason against the Broncos on Aug. 23.
New Orleans opens the 2025 campaign against the Cardinals on Sept. 7 at home.
