Travis Kelce’s shocking Taylor Swift request to Chiefs brass revealed
Don’t expect to hear Taylor Swift’s music blaring during Chiefs home games, according to team President Mark Donovan.
During an appearance on FanDuel’s “Up & Adams” on Monday, Donovan explained that Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — who got engaged to the “Opalite” singer, 35, in August — spoke with him earlier in their relationship and expressed that he didn’t want her songs played at Arrowhead Stadium.

“Travis, to his credit, is all about the team, and he’s all about the guys, and he’s all about being part of the team and not being separate,” Donovan said.
“He said that (playing her songs), ‘That separates me. When we are playing a game, when we are in the stadium, it’s about us and I want it to be about us.’”
Kelce, 36, hasn’t made it a secret that he loves Swift’s music, having joined the 14-time Grammy winner on stage during her Eras Tour last June.
Donovan explained that the organization made it a priority to respect their relationship from the beginning.
“We never showed Taylor on our big boards in our stadium, never. It was respectful. We’re not taking advantage of this relationship,” he said.
“I joked with him early on in the first year (of their relationship), we never played a Taylor Swift song in the stadium when she is in the building.”
Swift and Kelce were under a microscope after they went public with their relationship in the summer of 2023 — with cameras finding her at every Chiefs game and outing with the three-time Super Bowl champ.
But things have looked much different this season.
Swift, fresh off the Oct. 3 release of her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” has seemingly put an emphasis on her privacy this season when supporting Kelce at his games, avoiding TV cameras and her grand tunnel entrances at Arrowhead Stadium.

The 14-time Grammy winner skipped Kansas City’s 31-28 loss to the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium on Thursday.
Swift has only attended home games during the regular season last year and this season.
“Taylor has been amazing to us,” Donovan said. ‘It’s been nothing but good. She is a phenomenon, but she is just a special, kind person. And my job, early on, and I told Travis this, I said, ‘We are going to treat you and your relationship with the same respect we treat any other player and coach’s relationship.”
Donovan previously spoke on Swift and Kelce’s relationship and how the NFL star met with him to ensure the singer’s safety at Arrowhead Stadium.
The pair went back and forth on an “intricate plan” the Chiefs’ security and Swift’s security came up with during her first trip to GEHA Field for the Chiefs-Bears game on Sept. 24. 2023.
