Mariners deadline addition Josh Naylor has given his new team an injury concern.
He left the team’s 4-3 win in 11 innings over the White Sox on Thursday in the third inning with shoulder soreness.

He grimaced in pain after swinging during his first at-bat before striking out.
Manager Dan Wilson said Naylor is day-to-day, and here is optimism the injury is minor and Naylor will be back sooner rather than later, MLB.com reported.
Naylor was one of the more high-profile players moved ahead of the trade deadline.
The Mariners acquired him from the Diamondbacks in exchange for two pitching prospects — Brandyn Garcia and Ashton Izzi — last month.
Seattle later acquired his Arizona teammate Eugenio Suarez.
For the season, Naylor has a .289/.355/.451 slash line with 14 homers, 65 RBIs and an .806 OPS.
In 13 games with the Mariners, he has a .261/.320/.478 slash line with three homers, six RBIs and a .798 OPS.
He has also recorded a whopping 10 stolen bases in those 13 games.
The Mariners are riding a four-game winning streak that has them just 1 1/2 games back of the Astros in the AL West and 1 1/2 games ahead of the Yankees for the second wild card spot.
Seattle has the chance to gain ground either in the division or create separation with the Yankees this weekend since Houston visits the Bronx Bombers.
The Mariners instead host the Rays, who are two games below .500.
Seattle is looking for its second postseason berth since 2001, having only made the playoffs since in 2022 when it swept the Blue Jays in the wild card round before being swept by the Astros in the ALDS.
