Given that the Girls creator comes with a built-in fanbase and that the series is all but sure to amass a cult following, we predict it won’t be long before fans are spamming Netflix‘s comments and asking for more episodes. So, will we see Jessica and Felix again? Will their love endure or will they hit more bumps in the road and end up struggling to stay together? Here’s everything we know about Too Much Season 2…

Will There Be a Too Much Season 2?

As of Friday, July 11, Too Much has not been renewed for a second season. It’s not unlike Netflix to take a few weeks or even a few months to give the go-ahead for more episodes so check back and there may be an update.

How Does Too Much Season 1 End?

After Astrid’s death and a very public argument over culpability in the dissolution of their relationship, Jessica and Felix decide to go their separate ways. It’s only after a sit-down meeting with Wendy Jones (Emily Ratajkowski) in a London coffee shop that Jessica realizes she can forgive him for all of his indiscretions. “I always say I can forgive pretty much anyone who is willing to say sorry,” Wendy tells Jessica. This leads to the quintessential “running through an airport” moment where Jessica rushes to the climate protest where Felix and his friends were hanging out. The two tearfully reunite and forgive each other, only for them to be arrested for blocking traffic on a major highway, complete with an impromptu marriage proposal that Jessica initially thinks is a joke. After a quick montage catching up with all of the major characters, the final scene of Season 1 sees Jessica and Felix walking out of a church where they’ve just tied the knot surrounded by their friends and family.

What Could Season 2 Of Too Much Be About?

Given that everything between Felix and Jessica is tied up neatly in a bow in the Season 1 finale, Dunham and the show’s producers have their work cut out for them crafting a second season. That said, we could totally see a world in which we catch up with the cross-cultural couple in their honeymoon phase and see how they are adjusting to life in the U.K. after tying the knot in the finale. It’s also possible that Felix and Jessica move to the U.S. — this would deviate from Dunham’s real life as she and husband Luis Felber reside in London — which would give the show interesting material to explore, especially since the demons of Jessica’s past all live in the Big Apple. Run-ins with Zev (Michael Zegen)? Yes please. Coffee dates with Wendy Jones in Manhattan? We’d love to see it.

Who Stars In Too Much on Netflix?

Netflix’s funniest new series stars Stalter and Sharpe as the focal point lovers, while the ensemble cast is filled out by Zegen, Ratajkowski, Perlman, Wilson, Dunham, and Rannells as the New York City-based cast. Across the pond, Jessica and Felix encounter an erratic crop of characters including Jonno (Richard E. Grant), Auggie (Prasanna Puwanarajah), Raven (Antonio Aakeel), Ann (Naomi Watts), and Polly (Adele Exarchopoulos).

What Is Too Much About?

The semi-autobiographical series from the Girls creator follows Jess (Statler), a New Yorker who experiences a mental health episode following a devastating breakup, quickly deciding to leave home and take a job 3,500 miles away in London. There, she immediately meets Felix (Sharpe), a down-on-his-luck musician with trust issues and questionable intentions, and the two decide to pursue a relationship, albeit a messy and complicated one.

Too Much Season 1 is currently streaming.

Netflix offers three subscription plans to fit your streaming needs. The plans start at $7.99/month for standard with ads and go up to $24.99/month for unlimited ad-free streaming in up to 4K UHD quality.
