The actor, 29, gave an update on his health in a Saturday Instagram post that promoted his recent gala in London for The Brothers Trust, the charity he runs with his three brothers. Holland attended the Sept. 20 event with his fiancé and co-star Zendaya.
“What a night! Another huge success,” Holland captioned the post. “The Brothers Trust means more to me than I could possibly say and I have to say a huge thank you to my Mum and her wonderful friends for putting on another incredible night. Raising money for fantastic causes and having fun doing it!”
“I’m sorry I had to leave early but I’m feeling better and on the mend,” the British actor said. “A huge thanks to my Dad for taking over after I left. The show got considerably funnier.”
Holland was allegedly treated for a mild concussion on Friday, Sept. 19 after he fell while filming at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England, Daily Mail reported last week.
The outlet claimed he “cracked his head” following the stunt gone wrong.
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures paused filming for Holland’s recovery. Production is expected to resume on Monday.
Sources told The Hollywood Reporter that the pause is not expected to affect the 2026 release of the superhero flick.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has been filming in Glasgow, Scotland, since August 1.
The new installment marks Holland’s fourth stand-alone turn as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, and will show the aftermath of 2021’s “No Way Home” and the events before “Avengers: Doomsday.”
Zendaya is expected to reprise her role as Spider-Man’s love interest, Michelle “MJ” Jones. Other MCU stars set to appear in the film include Jacob Batalon as Peter and MJ’s BFF, Ned Leeds, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher and Michael Mando as the Scorpion.
Meanwhile, “Stranger Things” star Sadie Sink and “The Bear” actress Liza Colón-Zayas have both been confirmed to join the cast.
When filming kicked off last month, Sony shared a behind-the-scenes video of Holland in his Spidey suit interacting with young fans and shooting a scene atop of a tank.
“It’s day one, my fourth ever day one on ‘Spider-Man,’” Holland said in the video. “It’s funny, putting the suit on, it feels different this time, somehow.”
“It’s also the first time we ever had fans on set day one,” he added, “so it’s really exciting to share this with them.”
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is set to be released July 31, 2026.
