Tom Brady’s “beloved” dog Lua died in 2023 — and the canine’s blood was used to make a clone.

On Tuesday, the retired NFL player revealed his new dog Junie’s origins in a joint statement with Colossal Biosciences, with whom he worked to clone Lua.

The former quarterback, who is an investor in the company, gushed over the “second chance” his family has with Junie, according to People.

“I love my animals. They mean the world to me and my family,” the ex-athlete, 48, explained. “A few years ago, I worked with Colossal and leveraged their non-invasive cloning technology through a simple blood draw of our family’s elderly dog before she passed.”

Brady’s reveal comes as Colossal Biosciences acquires Viagen Pets and Equine, the company that twice cloned Barbra Streisand’s dead dog Samantha, as well as Paris Hilton’s missing dog Diamond Baby.

“[I’m] excited how Colossal and Viagen’s tech together can help both families losing their beloved pets while helping to save endangered species,” the former New England Patriots player concluded.

Brady and his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, adopted Lua during their time together.

The Victoria’s Secret Angel, 45, shared the pit bull mix’s death with her Instagram followers in an emotional tribute in December 2023.

“Our little Lulu, our guardian angel is gone to heaven,” the model wrote at the time. “She will forever live in our hearts. We already miss her sooooo much! #unconditionallove RIPLua 💔.”

Brady, for his part, wrote, “We love you Lua, RIP.”

In a separate Instagram Story post, the Fox Sports commentator added that the “sweetest and cutest” canine would be “forever in [their] hearts.”

He and Bündchen both shared sweet snaps of Lua with their two kids, Benjamin, 15, and Vivian, 12.

Brady is also the father of 18-year-old son Jack, whom he welcomed with ex Bridget Moynahan early into his romance with Bündchen.

As for the Bündchen, she made headlines in February for giving birth to a baby boy with her boyfriend, Joaquim Valente.

Bündchen sparked romance rumors with Valente, her jiu-jitsu trainer, on the heels of her 2022 split from Brady — and the duo went public with their relationship the following year.
