The week in whoppers: Tim Walz lies to fan flames, but The Times accuses Trump of incitement and more

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions
This claim:
“Armed, masked, undertrained ICE agents are going door to door, ordering people to point out where their neighbors of color live.” — Minn. Gov. Tim Walz, Wednesday
We say: Feds hunting down people just because of their skin color, forcing folks at gunpoint to rat them out, sure would be reason to resist.

In fact, ICE is looking for illegal immigrant criminals to take off the streets — and Walz well knows it. He’s telling despicable lies to stoke resistance and, inevitably, violence.
This comparison:
“From Tehran to . . . Minneapolis, people are rising up against systems that wield violence without accountability.” — DNC Chairman Ken Martin, Sunday
We say: Democratic National Committee chief Ken Martin absurdly equates Iran’s “far-right theocratic regime,” which “crushes dissent,” with federal law-enforcement agents carrying out policies of a democratically elected administration.
What an utterly sick tone to set for a major political party.
This column:
“Trump and Vance Are Fanning the Flames. Again.” — David French, New York Times, Sunday
We say: Ignore the blatant incitement from Walz, Martin and other Dems — including Gov. Hochul, who this week called for New Yorkers to “rise up.”
Per French’s column, Trump is the one fanning the flames — by enforcing immigration law. Psychologists have a term for this: projection.
Spot the difference:
vs.
We say: CNN managed to find “good news” when inflation came in at 6% under President Joe Biden, yet “bad news” when it was just 2.7% on Trump’s watch. The bias is blatant.
