‘The View’s Sunny Hostin Shares Why She Was “Always Dumped” By Her Exes: “They Would Just Say I Was Crazy”
The View‘s Sunny Hostin made a frank observation about her past relationships while she and her co-hosts discussed whether they would ever ask a former partner why their relationship ended.
Whoopi Goldberg shared that Miriam Katz launched a podcast in which she would ask all of her former partners to reflect on the “good and bad about their relationship.” But the ladies of The View were divided on whether or not they would do the same.

“If I ran into one of my exes I’d say, ‘How did you miss the opportunity of your life? How do you live with yourself?’” Joy Behar quipped.
But Hostin wasn’t so sure.
“I was always dumped. I didn’t dump other people, they dump me. I’m the dumpee,” she stated. “I think they would just say I was crazy so I wouldn’t ask them.”
Behar then asked Hostin if she believed she was “crazy” in past relationships, to which Hostin admitted, “I think so.”
Alyssa Farah Griffin completely agreed. “I don’t care to know because I know the answer is that I was crazy as well,” she said with a laugh.
Sara Haines then noted that it might be illuminating to uncover one’s “emotional blindspots” by hearing what their exes think about them. “Sometimes seeing that reflected back from multiple intimate partners might show the ‘me’ problem in it,” she said.
When Behar asked Haines to reflect on what her former partners might say about her, Haines didn’t miss a beat when she responded, “I think I was an amazing girlfriend. I think so!”
“Oh, so the therapy’s worked,” Griffin quipped.
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
