‘The View’s Sunny Hostin Rips Into Joe Rogan After He Compared ICE Agents To The “Gestapo”: “He Got The Country He Voted For”

Sunny Hostin won’t be giving Joe Rogan the benefit of the doubt anytime soon — even if the famed podcaster is starting to call out the Trump administration.

With conversations about ICE brutality ramping up in light of the killing of Renee Nicole Good, Rogan compared the immigration agents—who are asking people on the street to show their citizenship papers—to the “Gestapo” on a recent episode of his popular podcast.

While Joy Behar seemed impressed with Rogan’s turn to the other side on this morning’s episode of The View, Hostin had a different perspective.

“I’m so disgusted at some of the things that we’ve been seeing over and over and over again. I think Joe Rogan got the country he voted for,” she said. “He not only has 20 million followers and is extremely influential, [but] he endorsed Donald Trump in this last campaign.”

Speaking to Rogan’s grand audience, Hostin noted, “With that comes a lot of responsibility and I think he misused his platform.”

Behar, however, chimed in to defend Rogan, urging Hostin to “not look at the past” and to instead “give him a little bit of credit.” But Hostin stood her ground, pointing out that Rogan is still spreading “conspiracy theories” via his platform.

“During that very same podcast, Joy, he said, ‘I see both perspectives. I see the perspectives of people who say, hey, there was an illegal program moving people in here to get votes, moving people in here to get congressional seats, and we’ve got to change that,’” Hostin argued. “That is a conspiracy theory and that is not true.”

Hostin reiterated, “I don’t think I saw a changed person, but I think he got what he voted for,” to which Behar added, “But you know what? They’re coming over slowly but surely, and the enemy of my enemy is my friend, in a certain way. “

Pushing back at Behar’s belief that Rogan and other conservatives now speaking out are “part of the resistance,” Hostin said these influential people should “bear some responsibility for where we are” now.

“I think this election was such a serious election,” she said. “We told people to read Project 2025, we told people what was gonna happen, Donald Trump told people he was gonna be a dictator, and no one listened.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
