‘The View’s Joy Behar Accuses MAGA Of Wanting To Use Debunked Epstein List “Against Liberals,” Says She And Whoopi Goldberg Were Allegedly On It
This morning’s episode of The View began with a fiery conversation about Jeffrey Epstein‘s alleged client list, with Joy Behar claiming it was a big conspiracy MAGA supporters used to incriminate liberals.
Earlier this week, the Department of Justice announced that an investigation into Epstein’s sex crimes revealed that he did not keep a “client list” to blackmail prominent figures (politicians, celebrities, etc.) who had allegedly committed similar atrocities, one of many conspiracy theories that right wingers had been pushing ever since Epstein died by suicide while awaiting trial for federal sex trafficking charges.

In the time since Epstein’s death in 2019, high-profile figures such as Barack Obama, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, and Ellen DeGeneres have been falsely linked to the now-debunked client list. Even Whoopi Goldberg and Behar were rumored to be on the list — and they joked about it on this morning’s episode of The View.
“What’s bothering his MAGA crowd is not the tariffs, which are gonna raise prices on their food,” Behar began. “It’s not the possibility that you’re gonna lose Medicaid, so you’re all gonna have to take care of your mothers and fathers who have dementia or whatever’s bothering them. It’s not the Epstein list.”
“It’s the fact that they were gonna use this list against liberals. They were going to out Bill Clinton or whoever else they think is on it,” she continued, before turning to Goldberg and adding, “You and I. We’re on the list.”
The audience burst into hysterics, though Goldberg quickly reiterated, “We are on the list. You’re laughing, but we were placed on that list,” while Alyssa Farah Griffin noted that the “internet is convinced” the two co-hosts were in cahoots with Epstein.
Griffin later shared her thoughts on how the conspiracy theories surrounding Epstein were targeting the left.
“What happens with conspiracy is sometimes you look for things that confirm your own worst instincts,” she said. “There are very bad people who will never get justice who were associated with him. But in all likelihood, it’s probably not your favorite liberal to bash. It’s probably not the random person on TV that you like to argue with.”
Sunny Hostin then asked, “It’s not Joy and Whoopi on the list?” to which Griffin replied, “Fortunately, it’s not Joy and Whoopi.”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
