“Let me just say this: this is not North Korea, this is not a monarchy,” she said. “Donald Trump and no president has the authority or jurisdiction to unilaterally take anybody’s citizenship away.”

“Rosie O’Donnell is a natural-born U.S. citizen, born in Long Island in 1962,” she continued. “There’s very few things that a citizen can do [to get their citizenship taken away] — crimes, like treason or trying to overthrow the government. So, if anybody’s got to be careful, it ain’t Rosie.”

Trump reignited his feud with the comedian over the weekend when he took to Truth Social to call her a “threat to humanity” and claim he was “giving serious consideration” to taking away her citizenship. Trump also suggested that O’Donnell, who recently relocated to Ireland, stay where she’s currently living “if they want her.”

O’Donnell swiftly fired back at Trump in an Instagram post, writing, “The president of the USA has always hated the fact that I see him for who he is – a criminal con man sexual abusing liar out to harm our nation to serve himself. This is why I moved to Ireland – he is a dangerous old soulless man with dementia who lacks empathy compassion and basic humanity – I stand in direct opposition [to] all he represents.”

She added, “So do millions of others. U gonna deport all who stand against ur evil tendencies – ur a bad joke who cant form a coherent sentence.”

Trump’s feud with O’Donnell has been going on for nearly two decades. The actress fired the first shots when she was a co-host on The View back in 2006, calling Trump a “snake-oil salesman on Little House On The Prairie,” per CNN. She also slammed his multiple marriages (and alleged affair) and brought up his bankruptcies. They’ve been trading blows ever since, with Trump infamously calling O’Donnell a “loser” and a “pig.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
