‘The View’s Alyssa Farah Griffin Says The White House’s Response To The Jeffrey Epstein Files “Makes Them Look More Guilty”

The View host Alyssa Farah Griffin is calling on the White House and the Trump administration to “put your money where your mouth is.”

After House Democrats released thousands of emails and documents from the estate of late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the White House downplayed the contents of the messages, labeling it a Democrat “hoax.” But it’s since been revealed that top White House officials met in the Situation Room with Colorado State Rep. Lauren Boebert, one of the four Republicans who have continued to vote in favor of releasing the Epstein files.

Griffin, who previously worked as the White House Director of Strategic Communications, said this is “unheard of” and noted it “makes them look more guilty.”

“One thing that stood out to me is how the White House has handled this Epstein saga from day one,” she said during Thursday’s broadcast. “If you’re somebody who is skeptical of Donald Trump’s involvement, you think he was in some way aligned with him, they’re denying that he is, so their action should match that. And it feels like every action he takes makes them look more guilty.”

She continued, “You raised them going to the Situation Room, that’s unheard of. The only time I’ve been in the Situation Room was for national security matters, the coronavirus response.”

Griffin then gave a shoutout to the four Republicans who “have held firm with outside pressure to release these Epstein files”: Congress members Thomas Massey, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert and Nancy Mace.

She then noted that she believes other Republicans will fall in line if it does come to a vote. However, she does not believe that the president will face any backlash or consequences.

“I don’t agree with them on everything but they have been firm on this despite the pressure to take their names off the petition. And I actually believe that when this comes to the floor for a vote, more Republicans will ultimately vote for it because this is going to follow them in the midterms and it’s going to follow their conscience,” she said.

She continued, “This might not impugn Donald Trump, it very well may not, but this is about right and wrong for the victims and for the women. If there’s nothing to hide, release it all. Max transparency, as the White House said. Now’s the time to put your money where your mouth is.”

After the emails were released, Sunny Hostin pointed out that Epstein wrote in one email that Trump asked his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell, “to stop.”

“That is actually something that is helpful to him, that he asked her to stop,” Hostin pointed out, but she later speculated, “Arguably, this could be helpful to him, so why continue to deny it? That’s the problem I’m having here.”
