‘The View’s Alyssa Farah Griffin Says Biden Aides Owe It To Taxpayers To Tell The Truth: “It Sounds Like They’re Hiding Something”

Alyssa Farah Griffin called out former President Joe Biden‘s doctor and Jill Biden‘s chief of staff for pleading the fifth to “basic” questions about Joe’s mental capacity during his time in the White House.

On this morning’s episode of The View, the co-hosts discussed the GOP’s probe into Joe’s mental capabilities while he was in office. With both his former physician Kevin O’Connor and wife’s chief of staff Anthony Bernal refusing to answer any and all questions at the hearing, Griffin—who worked under Donald Trump’s first administration—felt as though they owed answers to the American people.

While Griffin wasn’t surprised that O’Connor couldn’t answer any questions due to patient confidentiality, she didn’t understand why Bernal wouldn’t answer simple questions, such as whether he advised Joe to pardon his son Hunter Biden, whether he was fit to exercise his duties as POTUS, or whether any unelected officials or family members executed his duties while he was in office.

“That’s making people want to ask even more questions,” Griffin said. “As a former government official who has testified before Congress voluntarily and the Justice Department, there was never a moment where I thought about pleading the fifth because the taxpayers paid my salary. If they wanted an answer to a question about what I saw in government, I felt it was my duty to the country to answer.”

“It sounds like they’re hiding something,” she added. “Those are pretty basic questions.”

Griffin doubled down later on in the segment, noting that they should “show up,” “comply,” and answer questions “voluntarily” since it’s the taxpayers who pay their salary, not Joe.

As far as the fear of backlash, the Republican said she has gotten hate from both sides of the aisle, but that’s just the name of the game for someone who wants to work closely to the POTUS.

“I also got threats from the right and the left,” she said. “I had people on the right saying I was being disloyal for going in because I was talking about Trump, and I had people on the left attacking me for ever working there. That is the job you sign up for when you get to work in the highest office in the land.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
