‘The View’ host Sunny Hostin rips ‘least qualified’ RFK Jr. during Cheryl Hines interview

“The View” co-host Sunny Hostin tore into Cheryl Hines on Tuesday, slamming the actor’s husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as the “least qualified” health secretary in history.

Hostin, a left-leaning legal analyst and co-host of ABC’s daytime talk show, blasted Hines’ hubby over his recent controversial claims linking autism to circumcisions and Tylenol use.

“Respectfully, your husband is the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services [HHS] head that we’ve had in history. I think that’s very, very dangerous,” Hostin told Hines, who is known for her role as Larry David’s wife in “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

Medical experts previously told The Post that Kennedy’s claims about autism were misleading and lacked solid evidence.

Hines questioned how her husband is any “less qualified than an economist” – an apparent nod to Sylvia Burwell, an economist and political campaign staffer who led HHS under former President Barack Obama.

“He has spent his career studying toxins, studying people’s health, fighting for one guy who was using Roundup for his job,” Hines continued, referring to Kennedy’s work as a lawyer.

RFK Jr. represented a former school groundskeeper who was awarded $289 million in 2018 after he alleged his use of the weed killer Roundup caused him to develop non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

“He has also spread a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, a lot of confusion. And I think it’s just a very dangerous thing. I say it with the utmost respect,” Hostin retorted.

Joy Behar, another co-host of “The View,” jumped in: “Some of it’s good and some of it is not.”

“Listen, we all have different views here. Yes. And when you say misinformation, disinformation, we could go back to COVID when …” Hines said.

A frustrated Hostin cut her off, saying: “He’s connecting circumcision to autism!”

“May I finish?” Hines asked.

After co-host Whoopi Goldberg asked the guest to continue, Hines argued that Dr. Anthony Fauci – who headed the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases under former President Joe Biden – had spread misinformation about COVID vaccines.

“We were also still learning about it. It was a novel virus we’ve never encountered before,” co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin objected.

Hostin chimed in: “And Dr. Fauci has a medical degree.”

Hines argued that her husband’s vaccine skepticism was challenged during the peak of the pandemic.

“Bobby said, Where’s the science to show us this? And there wasn’t any. But people attacked him and said, you’re wrong,” she recalled.

“Let’s take a step back. I know. That’s your opinion, and that’s okay,” Hines continued, speaking to Hostin.
