‘The McBee Dynasty’ Star Galyna Saltkovska Denies Drinking Wine At Work During Difficult Time: “I Don’t Do That At The Office”

There is no McBee Farm & Cattle Co without CFO Galyna Saltkovska. After her relationship with boss Steve McBee ended in heartbreak, The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys star was devastated when he immediately started dating her (former) friend, Masha, and moved his new love into his lodge on the family’s property. “I experienced the ultimate betrayal, which was very difficult for me to deal with,” said Saltkovska. As a result of Steve’s and Masha’s treacherous actions, Saltkovksa understandably spiraled, leading her to make some questionable choices like allegedly damaging Steve’s home and leaving Masha’s chicken coop door open. “I am still wondering about some of the decisions I made then,” admitted Saltkovksa.

Saltkovksa assures fans that she is in a much better place today. “I overcame a lot of the difficult situations that I faced,” said Saltkovska proudly. She started to move on after a fraught confrontation with Masha, orchestrated by Steven Jr., Cole, and Jesse McBee in secret, to help the women move on. “Once I started talking, I couldn’t stop,” remembered Saltkovska of the tense exchange between the women. “It was a relief to just have a little bit of a lash out. You can’t be battling everything inside yourself and expect to start healing.”

The McBee Farm & Cattle Co is currently thriving, a fact which Saltkovska finds very “gratifying.” “I got my priorities straight and got back on track,” explained Saltkovska. “I’m super proud of what we are achieving with the business and what we’re doing today.” Saltkovska is also “grateful” for her partners— especially Steven—who ultimately stood by her during an incredibly tumultuous time. “It is undeniable that Steven has always got my back,” said Saltkovska. “We’ve needed to be candid with each other to get back on the same page.”

Saltkovska spoke to Decider over Zoom to discuss the season, why she doesn’t regret bringing up the FBI investigation into her ex on-camera, and her surprising friendship with a fellow Bravolebrity.

DECIDER: I recently saw you hanging out with RHOC alum Alexis Bellino during an event at Truly Blessed Jewels celebrating you ahead of the Season 2 premiere! How did you two become friends?

GALYNA SALTKOVSKA: I love Alexis. My publicist introduced us, and we immediately connected. We had such a wonderful time in Newport Beach that day. They spoiled us rotten [laughs]. I absolutely love hanging out with her. She’s a wonderful person and has been an amazing support throughout my journey. I’m just starting out in the world of reality TV, and Bravo is a completely different universe from what I’m used to.

Season 2 was obviously filmed during a tough time in your life. How are you doing today?

I’m not going to disagree with you. We filmed Season 2 during an incredibly tough time in my life. I am still wondering about some of the decisions I made then. I made the best decisions I could in the moment. I’m very proud of it all turned out, though. I overcame a lot of the difficult situations that I faced, and I’m definitely staying on track.

The business is currently in the best spot it has been in the past 5 or 6 years, at least according to Cole. How gratifying is it that—despite your personal turmoil—you were able to contribute to this incredible success?

It’s very gratifying. I know that I caused quite a few issues on occasion, but at the end of the day, I got my priorities straight. I’m super proud of what we are achieving with the business and what we’re doing today.

I love those boys, but I don’t think they understood how difficult it would be to lose a boyfriend and a good friend at the same time because of a betrayal. Do you feel that you got the support from them that you needed?

I experienced the ultimate betrayal, which was very difficult for me to deal with. I know I made really poor decisions at times. However, I also feel it was a very confusing situation for the boys. They heavily rely on me in the business. I’m a partner. They were caught in the middle of an uncomfortable situation. I think they needed a minute to process everything. I am very glad that they stuck by my side, and they’re extremely supportive of me now. I know that they were making the best decisions that they could in the moment.

And Steven Jr. has always had your back.

Absolutely. We’ve had tough conversations, but it is undeniable that Steven has always got my back. We’ve needed to be candid with each other to get back on the same page. I’m very grateful for Steven.

With reality TV, your most human moments are there for the world to see. When you’re dealing with something as traumatic as this betrayal, healing takes time. There are going to be bumps along the way. Can you tell me about the day the boys found an empty wine bottle in your trash?

It was an incredibly traumatic time. I was caught up in the business and this betrayal and just trying navigate through that. I admit that a glass of wine got me through many evenings, but drinking in the office was never my thing. I understand how it can be perceived that I would drink, given everything that I had experienced. I know what it looked like, but it was not the case. I don’t do that in the office.

He might have started out hot, but Steven ended up being very understanding about the wine bottle incident.

For a moment, he put himself in my shoes. He’s like, “okay, I’m gonna have to give her a break.” He knew I’d been through a lot. It’s been a journey. It’s been wild, but we’ve all done a lot of growing and self-reflection. I admit this has been a unique situation, but I feel very fortunate to work with Steven.

Though, I didn’t love that he and Jesse surprised you with a face-to-face with Masha to try to bring about some sort of resolution. What was going through your head in that moment?

Oh my gosh, my head was like a little volcano exploding. I couldn’t believe they were serious, However, once I started talking, I couldn’t stop. In a way, it was a relief to just have a little bit of a lash out. You can’t be battling everything inside yourself and expect to start healing at some point. I appreciate the boys’ efforts and intentions. However, I could not believe Masha’s boldness and unapologetic, rude behavior. She had zero regrets. It was just mind-blowing.

She backstabbed me like nobody else did. She came in when I already was struggling and pretended to be a friend. I opened my doors. I made her a part of my birthday celebration and Christmas at the lodge. I shared with her my most vulnerable moments, and then she kicked me while I was down. She never had any intention to be my friend. She came in only because she had her own agenda.

That conversation between you and Steven Jr. after the lodge/chicken incident was tough. I could see that he hurt your feelings with his comment about potentially parting ways, but then you mentioned the FBI investigation. Do you regret bringing that up on camera?

I don’t regret bringing that up. I just had to remind him of the priorities. What was our priority at the moment? Discussing some prostitute or discussing what really matters?

I want to talk about a blast from the past! I could not believe that Steven Jr. met up with Brooke, his father’s ex who nearly totaled your car last season, for brunch in last week’s episode! Were you shocked to see her on the show?

After everything I’ve experienced, I don’t even care [laughs]. Brooke is like an angel compared to Masha. Brooke didn’t know me. She was never my friend. She probably was led to believe certain things that weren’t true. As soon as she found out the truth, she ended things instead of continuing with the relationship. I’m glad that Steven and Brooke stayed connected. I’m super happy that she found happiness. I hope to find happiness for myself one day. Good luck to her and her future. I’m rooting for Brooke now.

Lastly, what can you tease about the rest of the season?

I am excited about the next few episodes because they will give viewers a lot more answers and clarity. There are a lot of more exciting things to come in my personal relationships and interactions with the boys. You’re going to have to watch to find out!
