‘The Bad Guys 2’ Comes to Digital, But When Will ‘The Bad Guys 2’ Be Streaming Free on Peacock?

The Bad Guys 2 is coming to digital platforms to buy and rent tomorrow, just a little over two weeks after the movie opened in theaters.

The sequel to the 2022 animated kids’ movie, The Bad Guys, The Bad Guys 2 is directed by Pierre Perifel, co-directed by JP Sans, and written by Yoni Brenner and Etan Cohen. After a stint in prison, the eponymous bad guys (talking animals of famously “bad” creatures including a wolf, a shark, a snake, and a spider) attempt to reintegrate into society. But they get sucked back into the heist life when they meet a group of bad girls.

Voice actors Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Awkwafina, Zazie Beetz, Richard Ayoade, Lilly Singh, and Alex Borstein all reprise their roles from the first movie, while Danielle Brooks, Maria Bakalova and Natasha Lyonne are joining the cast as the voices of the bad girls.

The Bad Guys 2 made a decent $117.4 million at the worldwide box office, and now Universal hopes to earn even more money with the premium digital release. Beginning on Tuesday, August 19 at 12 a.m. ET (which is also August 18 at 9 p.m. PT), The Bad Guys 2 will be available to buy and rent digitally on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Fandango At Home, and more. The price may vary depending on which platform you use to purchase the film, but on Amazon Prime, the film costs $29.99 to buy a digital copy, and costs $24.99 to rent. If you rent the film, you’ll have 48 hours to watch the movie after hitting “play.”

The Bad Guys 2 is not yet available to watch on a streaming service that’s subscription-based, but we do expect to see The Bad Guys 2 streaming on Peacock soon, free to anyone with a Peacock subscription, because the film is a Universal/DreamWorks release.
