Teyana Taylor wears bedazzled thong on the Golden Globes 2026 red carpet

Teyana Taylor delivered one of the evening’s most jaw-dropping moments on the Golden Globes 2026 red carpet on Sunday, arriving in a Schiaparelli Haute Couture halter-neck gown that defied gravity from the front — and told an even more daring story from behind.

The “One Battle After Another” star, 35, showed off a crystal-encrusted thong at the Beverly Hills awards show, the blinged-out bow highlighted by a lower-back cutout.

“The crack is covered in diamonds, you know. It’s expensive,” Taylor said in a red-carpet interview with E!.

She told the reporter that her two children — Rue Rose, 5, and Iman “Junie” Tayla, 10 — are her “biggest fashion critics,” but gave their stamp of approval for the boundary-pushing look. She asserted, “they was livin’ tonight.”

The daring dress also featured a dramatic neck scarf and draped bodice that gave attendees a peek at the intricate ink on her sternum and upper back.

She complemented the bedazzled thong with diamond drop earrings and a similarly iced-out bracelet and rings.

The multi-hyphenate star is up for best supporting actress for her breakout role as Perfidia Beverly Hills in Paul Thomas Anderson’s politically charged thriller, competing against Ariana Grande, Emily Blunt, Elle Fanning, Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas and Amy Madigan.

Her styling team, Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald, clearly weren’t playing it safe for her first Golden Globes nomination.

It’s not the first time Taylor has flashed her backside on a major red carpet. At the 2021 Met Gala, she wore a silver Prabal Gurung toga dress inspired by Venus de Milo, slung so low around her lower half that it displayed the colorful tats on her derrière.
