Teen slashed in Times Square attack by stranger who asked if he belonged to a gang: cops, sources
A teen was slashed in the face in the heart of Times Square over the weekend by a stranger who asked him if he was a gang member, cops and sources said.
The attacker approached the 18-year-old victim around 1:30 a.m. Saturday in front of the 3 Times Square skyscraper on Seventh Avenue near West 43rd Street, authorities said.

The brute asked the teen if he belonged to a gang, the sources said.
It wasn’t clear whether the victim had a chance to respond before the aggressor sliced him across the face with a “cutting instrument,” police said.
Responding NYPD cops rushed the teen to Mount Sinai West hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.
Footage released by the NYPD late Tuesday shows the suspect, with long dreadlocks, wearing a black hoodie pulled up over his head and carrying a red backpack, walking on the sidewalk.
