Taking to Instagram Wednesday night, Swift revealed that “Life of a Showgirl” will release Oct. 3.

The “Love Story” singer also revealed the album’s 12-song track list, and Carpenter’s inclusion on the record’s final, titular song.

Speculation about Swift’s new album announcement began early Tuesday morning when the “Anti-Hero” singer’s team released a countdown clock to 12:12 a.m. Aug. 12 on her website, which ended up being the exact date and time Swift announced the title of her twelfth studio album.

“So I wanted to show you something,” the 14-time Grammy winner said in a preview clip on X while breaking out a colorful briefcase with her initials.

“This is my brand new album, ‘The Life of a Showgirl,’” Swift announced, as Travis, 35, and his brother Jason, 37, screamed with excitement.

Rumors that Carpenter, 26, would be featured on the new album also kicked off Tuesday when Swift’s Taylor Nation page dropped a post featuring 12 pictures of the “Fearless” songstress dressed in orange during her Eras Tour.

“Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…’” the post’s caption read.

Eagle-eyed Swifties quickly noticed that the “Please Please Please” singer was pictured with Swift in the last photo of the carousel, sparking the speculation that Carpenter might appear on “The Life of a Showgirl.”

The “Manchild” singer had opened for several of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts, and even performed alongside Swift at her New Orleans stop in October 2024.

“WAIT IS THE LAST PIC A HINT FOR A SONG WITH SABRINA?” one Swiftie wrote in the comments.

“Are we getting a SabXTay collab?” a second fan asked.

“WHY IS SABRINA IN THE LAST PICTURE?!” added a third, while a fourth fan wrote, “Will there be a song collab with Sabrina too?”

Other Swifties theorized that the Swift and Carpenter collaboration might be titled “Go Put Some Clothes On,” which was reportedly what the “Shake It Off” singer told the “Espresso” artist the night Carpenter joined Swift in New Orleans.

Carpenter teased the “go put some clothes on” incident on her Instagram in a post shared Aug. 6, adding to the rumors.

“OMG WHAT IF THIS IS THE SINGLE FOR TS12,” one person tweeted.

“Sabrina Carpenter is rumored to be featured on TS12, as she recently posted ‘Go put on some clothes!’—the same phrase Taylor used when she called Sabrina to perform with her at the Eras Tour last year,” another fan explained.
