Taylor Swift to skip hotel for Selena Gomez wedding weekend
Taylor Swift is headed to close pal Selena Gomez’s wedding to Benny Blanco this weekend — but don’t expect to spot her checking into the local Ritz-Carlton.
A source tells Page Six the pop icon will stay in a private rental home near the wedding festivities, rather than staying at a hotel for security reasons.

“She will be renting a house near the wedding venue, which is a secret to the public,” says the source. “Her security team feels it’s better than a hotel.”
Gomez and Blanco are reportedly tying the knot in an intimate two-day celebration in Montecito, Calif., this weekend.
It is unclear if Swift’s NFL star fiancé Travis Kelce will be able to make the festivities — though it seems unlikely.
Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, square off on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.
But Swift won’t miss the nuptials as Gomez and Swift have been longtime friends.
When Gomez announced her engagement to Blanco, Swift commented by saying: “Yes, I will be the flower girl,” via Instagram.
The “Calm Down” singer reciprocated by recently congratulating Swift on her engagement to Kelce by posting, “When bestie gets engaged,” alongside a heart face emoji on Instagram.
Gomez and Blanco’s wedding is expected to draw a starry crowd, including the bride’s “Only Murders in the Building” co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short, as well as some of music heavyweight Blanco’s famous collaborators. (Meryl Streep reportedly will not be on the scene.)
Gomez celebrated her bachelorette party on a yacht in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, this summer with pals including Raquelle Stevens, Ashley Cook and Courtney Lopez.
Blanco (aka Benjamin Levin) spent that weekend at the luxurious, $25,000-a-night Chairman Villa at Resorts World Las Vegas.
The couple got engaged in December 2024 after a year and a half of dating.
