In the teaser, which dropped on Saturday, she paired a persimmon-hued Reformation short-sleeve sweater and black leather Versace mini skirt ($1,990) with a FoundRae “T” initial necklace ($1,800) and a Versace Hera watch (currently on sale for $748).

The necklace immediately sent fans into a tizzy: The dramatic Old English font of the “T” pendant is the same one that’s featured prominently on the album cover for “Reputation,” Swift’s 2017 album.

“Am I crazy or is this the same symbol that’s on the rep album cover,” one commented on the video.

Swifties have spent the better part of the past five years guessing at when the singer might release her rerecording of that fateful album. However, this May, she announced that she had regained ownership of her masters — leaving the question open if she’d ever release “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” at all.

While she said she has completed rerecording her debut album, she admitted she hadn’t “even re-recorded a quarter” of “Reputation” because the music was “so specific to that time” in her life that she “kept hitting a stopping point.”

Both albums, she wrote, would only “re-emerge when the time is right” and “from a place of celebration.”

All of which makes it even more curious that the “Reputation” era symbols keep on coming. Beyond the necklace’s font, the “T” echoes a lyric from one of the album’s tracks, “Call It What You Want”: “I want to wear his initial on a chain ’round my neck / chain ‘round my neck not / because he owns me / but ‘cause he really knows me.”

The other “T” in question is, of course, Swift’s new fiancé, Travis Kelce.

But wait — there’s more. Swift’s Versace accessories in the new clip are equally loaded with potential meaning.

Her watch and skirt both feature the brand’s signature Medusa logo, a serpentine symbol that’s hard to ignore. Snakes, after all, were practically the mascot of the “Reputation” era, from the tour visuals to the album rollout on social media.

The timepiece, however, also has some “Showgirl” connotations: It’s called the Hera, named after the Greek goddess of marriage and queen of the 12 Olympians, and her October 3 release will mark her 12th studio album. Coincidence? Swifties think not.

A fan also pointed out that a TikTok Swift posted last week features an updated version of her song “Gorgeous” with lush guitars replacing 2017’s punchy synths. The track, originally from “Reputation,” has a more mature sound that could signal she’s been working on vault tracks after all.

The producer connection adds another layer to the theories. Max Martin and Shellback, the Swedish hitmaking duo behind “The Life of a Showgirl,” also produced several tracks on “Reputation” — including “…Ready for It?” and “Delicate.” Their reunion for Swift’s latest project has fans wondering if they’ve been quietly working on “Reputation” vault tracks alongside the new album.

Whether Swift is genuinely dropping hints or simply enjoying the speculation remains unclear. But given her history of rewarding fans’ detective work, dismissing the theories entirely might be premature.
