Taylor Frankie Paul Goes On “Date” With [SPOILER] In Shocking ‘Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives’ Season 3 Cliffhanger: “Should We Kiss For Old Time’s Sake?”

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is known for its cliffhanger endings. In Season 1, we were left wondering what came from Mayci Neeley‘s investigation into Dakota Mortensen’s infidelity. In Season 2, Marciano Brunette dropped the bomb that he and Jessi Ngatikaura were having an affair. And in Season 3—which dropped on Hulu today—Taylor Frankie Paul met up with her former soft-swinging buddy, Chase McWhorter, for what felt very much like a romantic date.

For context, Paul broke the internet when she announced in 2022 that she and her then-husband had been soft-swinging with their other Mormon friends—Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Miranda McWhorter and her then-husband Chase being two of those people involved. Each couple is now divorced, and while Paul went on to have another baby with Mortensen in 2024, they have seemingly broken up for good over his sexting scandal with her mom’s best friend, a bombshell that was revealed in Season 3.

When Paul and Chase reunited for what appeared to be the first time since the swinging scandal (and their respective divorces) at a chaotic Halloween party in Season 2, things did not go well. Up until that point, Chase had been trash-talking Paul on social media and on his podcast. According to Paul, his criticism was a direct response to her turning him down after he admitted his feelings for her when they saw each other at the gym.

Their blowout argument at the Halloween party made it all the more surprising when she decided to meet up with him in the final moments of the Season 3 finale. What was even more shocking, however, was that the two exchanged pleasantries, reminisced on their days of taking showers together, and, dare I say, flirted quite a bit. They even referred to their little meetup as a “date”!

“He’s a very charismatic guy and I know I’m a very flirty person,” Paul said in her confessional. “There’s something where it just flows naturally. I don’t know how to word it because if I say chemistry, like, does that mean you like them?”

The episode ended with Chase asking, “Should we kiss for old time’s sake?” Paul, for her part, blushed as she seemed to consider his offer, before the screen cut to the closing credits.

While we don’t know yet if they kissed or hooked up after that moment, we do know that Paul is currently searching for love on The Bachelorette. So, no matter what happened with Chase, it looks like nothing long-lasting came out of it. We’ll just have to wait until Season 4 to find out!
