Sunny Hostin Feuds With Cheryl Hines On ‘The View’ After Slamming Her Husband RFK Jr.: “He’s Connecting Circumcisions To Autism!”
Cheryl Hines, wife of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., was in the hot seat on this morning’s episode of The View.
The actress walked out to the theme song of Curb Your Enthusiasm, but there was nothing enthusiastic about the co-hosts’ feelings regarding her controversial husband, who currently leads the Department of Health and Human Services under the Trump administration.

While reflecting on meeting Kennedy, Hines told the group, “I had been in this entertainment bubble and then I met him, and he was this environmental attorney. He was fascinating and he was interesting and he was smart and he was funny, and completely different from anyone I ever met in my life.”
Joy Behar made the first dig, sarcastically quipping, “That’s for sure,” to which Hines cheekily replied, “I know you ladies. I know you love to talk about him.”
Kennedy is often a Hot Topic on The View, particularly for his controversial views on vaccines and his most recent claims that Tylenol can be linked to autism. The women never hold back their disdain for Kennedy’s views, and that remained evident during their sit-down with his wife.
For instance, things got heated when Sunny Hostin slammed his lack of medical and scientific background. While Hines explained that Kennedy has “dedicated his career to suing big corporations because of toxins that have been affecting people’s health,” that still wasn’t enough for The View’s resident legal analyst.
“The problem, respectfully, is that your husband is the least qualified Department of Health and Human Services head that we’ve had in history,” Hostin argued.
Referring to an economist who worked as the HHS head under Former President Barack Obama‘s administration, Hines asked, “How is he less qualified than an economist? How is that possible? He spent his career studying toxins, studying people’s health, fighting for one guy who was using Roundup for his job.”
Hostin chimed in to claim that Kennedy has “also spread a lot of misinformation, a lot of chaos, [and] a lot of confusion.”
“It’s a very dangerous thing. I say it with the utmost respect,” she added.
When Hines attempted to point to other prominent figures who have spread misinformation and disinformation regarding health, Hostin angrily exclaimed, “He’s connecting circumcisions to autism!” Clearly annoyed, Hines sharply fired back, “May I finish?”
The awkward interview ended with Behar asking what everyone really wanted to know.
“Does he or does he not have a brain worm?” she wondered, to which Hines simply replied, “It ate just a little bit of his brain and died, so don’t worry.”
The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
