Subway Series player props, odds, picks

Brandon Nimmo is red hot.

Over his last 30 games, the Mets outfielder is hitting .292/.346/.542 with eight home runs and six doubles, turning around a season that looked lost during the early part of the year.

Nimmo and the Mets will face a tough lefty in Carlos Rodón during the second game of the Subway Series against the Yankees.

Though Nimmo hits for more power against right-handers, he is actually a better hitter for average against southpaws, hitting .263 over his career against lefties versus .260 against righties.

He also has had some success during a few brief encounters with Rodón, going 2-for-6 with a walk in eight plate appearances against him.

Over his most recent 30-game stretch, Nimmo has gone hitless just five times, meaning he’s bringing it at the plate nearly every night no matter who is on the mound.

He’s had a multi-hit game in nearly a third (nine) of those games.

As mentioned, he’s hitting for more power during this hot streak as well.

Rodon is one of the best pitchers in baseball at limiting hits, but he hasn’t been quite as stingy of late, allowing 20 hits over his last 22 innings pitched.

I’m riding the Nimmo wave and betting he can squeak out a couple hits, or perhaps an extra-base hit on Saturday in Queens.

The play: Brandon Nimmo to have more than 1.5 total bases
