‘Stranger Things’ producer addresses Millie Bobby Brown and David Harbour bullying claims

“Stranger Things” executive producer Shawn Levy railed against “inaccurate” headlines after reports surfaced that Millie Bobby Brown accused co-star David Harbour of bullying and harassment.
Levy addressed Brown’s allegations for the first time while speaking with The Hollywood Reporter at the Netflix show’s Season 5 world premiere in Los Angeles Thursday night.

Referring to “news of a complaint between two stars on this show,” the reporter asked Levy how he handles “something like that on set” and how he makes sure “everyone feels safe and respected.”
“I’ve read a bunch of stories and they’ve ranged from wildly inaccurate,” Levy replied, adding that there was “so much noise around” the alleged scandal.
However, he continued, “The truth is that we view this crew and this cast as family, so we treat each other with respect, and that’s always been [the] bedrock.”
The filmmaker explained that it is his responsibility to foster a healthy work environment.
“At the end of the day, that’s the job,” Levy explained. “You have to create a respectful workplace where everyone feels comfortable and safe,” Levy explained.
“So we did everything to build that environment, and we’re proud of the fact that we did so,” he concluded.
On Monday, news broke that Brown allegedly filed a lengthy complaint accusing Harbour of bullying and harassment before the series began filming its fifth and final season in early 2024.
“There were pages and pages of accusations,” a source told Daily Mail, claiming “the investigation went on for months.”
In the show, Brown portrays Eleven while Harbour’s character is her on-screen father figure, Jim Hopper Jr.
Netflix underwent an official investigation of Harbour, and Brown was allegedly accompanied by a personal representative on set while filming the finale.
The insider claimed that Harbour was not accused of any sexual impropriety in Brown’s filings.
Despite their reported tensions, Brown and Harbour put on a united front while walking the red carpet at the premiere Thursday.
The duo were photographed hugging and laughing during the step-and-repeat — seemingly squashing any gossip of a rift.
The “Enola Holmes” star, 21, even said how “amazing” it was to reunite with Harbour, 50, at the event in an interview with Extra.
A body language expert did call their joyful greeting “overkill” but ultimately believes there were “no obvious signs of tension” between them.
Reps for Netflix, Harbour and Brown have yet to respond to Page Six’s requests for comment on the feud allegations.
