This isn’t exactly a hot take, as the Bucks just stretched and waived Damian Lillard, who is out for the year with a torn Achilles.
With that money, the Bucks turned around and signed Myles Turner to a four-year contract worth $109 million in an attempt to compete for a title and keep their perennial MVP candidate happy.
The aggressive move to waive Lillard and sign Turner is surely a sign that the Bucks are not planning to blow up the roster with a potential Antetokounmpo deal.
Oddsmakers aren’t buying the Bucks as title contenders, though.
Milwaukee is 40/1 to win the NBA title at DraftKings — the 13th-best odds — although the Bucks can be had as high as 60/1 at Bet365.

Should the Bucks opt to trade the two-time MVP, the Atlanta Hawks owns +600 odds to land him.
Atlanta just landed a potential salary cap filler in Kristaps Porzingis, and also own the Pelicans’ unprotected first-round pick in 2026 in addition to other draft capital.

Betting on the NBA?
The Hawks themselves have been the apple of sports bettors’ eyes, having moved from 120/1 to 45/1 at DraftKings after acquiring Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Porzingis.
The Toronto Raptors previously showed interest in Antetokounmpo and are 10/1 to acquire him, while the Knicks have been given 20/1 odds.
That list might as well be put on hold to next offseason, though, as the odds seem strong against him being traded this offseason.
