Sean Brady vs. Michael Morales targeted for UFC 322 at MSG

The UFC is bringing a mega fight with massive title implications to Madison Square Garden at UFC 322, when Sean Brady (18-1) will face off against Michael Morales (18-0), The Post has learned.

The fight will be added to the main card for the Nov. 15 event.

This could be a title eliminator with massive implications throughout the welterweight division, as the card is headlined by Islam Makhachev challenging Jack Della Maddalena at 170 pounds.

The co-main event is currently billed to be Valentina Shevchenko facing off against Zhang Weili for the flyweight championship.

Brady, a Philadelphia-born and raised fighter, is representing Renzo Gracie MMA. The fight camp also housed former UFC lightweight challenger Paul Felder as well as Pat Sabatini and Andre Petroski.

Morales previously fought Gilbert Burns in May, winning by TKO in the first round.

Brady last defeated former welterweight champion Leon Edwards by submission via guillotine choke in March.

From a matchup perspective, Brady profiles as perhaps the most dominant grappler in the division, while Morales is arguably the most feared striker.

Morales has an 89 percent takedown defense rate per UFC Stats, while Brady averages 3.62 takedowns per 15 minutes.

Morales has knocked out four of his six UFC opponents, most of which in brutal fashion.

The UFC has historically put on massive cards at Madison Square Garden and adding this fight will help continue that tradition.
