Sarah Ferguson tried to date Tiger Woods after Prince Andrew divorce: book
Sarah Ferguson tried to pursue a romance with golfing legend Tiger Woods shortly after her divorce from Prince Andrew, according to a bombshell new royal book.
The Duchess of York, who was married to Andrew from 1986 to 1996, is said to have confided in Piers Morgan, telling him she found the Grand Slam winner, 49, “gorgeous,” according to an excerpt of veteran royal biographer Andrew Lownie’s new book, obtained by the Daily Mail.

In his latest biography, “Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York,” Lownie claims that Fergie made a 1,500-mile trip from to meet the athlete.
Once there, the duchess reportedly also had her sights set on John F. Kennedy Jr. — another man she was allegedly interested in, per Lownie.
“On a trip to New York, Fergie asked her staff to find out if John F. Kennedy Jr… was in town and, discovering where he was, she invited him for drinks or dinner at her hotel, which he accepted,” Lownie writes.
While the meeting between Fergie, 65, and the late son of the former US president, John F. Kennedy, never took place, the duchess did meet Woods.
The pair were pictured hugging in 1997 following his win at the Byron Nelson tournament in Texas, and more recently in 2019, when he emerged victorious at the Masters.
“Never have I been more proud,” she wrote about the golfer on Instagram at the time. “Good days and bad days, Tigers’ heart is loyal, steadfast and he is an amazing friend.”
But according to Lownie, Ferguson tried to turn the duo’s relations romantic, and told Morgan that she would “follow him around the [golf] course for a bit and see how I get on.”
However, the broadcaster reportedly suggested that Woods’ busy schedule may not allow for “dating royals.”
“Poor old Tiger isn’t going to know what’s hit him,” Morgan allegedly told Ferguson, per Lownie.
Elsewhere in his book, Lownie claimed that Ferguson — who shares daughters Beatrice and Eugenie with Andrew — “plagued” actor Kevin Costner with “raunchy phone calls.”
The royal author also claimed that the former working royal was interested in sparking up a romance with George Clooney at one point years ago.

The Post has reached out to reps for Woods and Fergie, as well as Buckingham Palace, for comment.
Despite her divorce from Andrew, the Duchess of York has maintained a close bond with the scandal-scarred prince — who has recently won his yearslong fight to stay at the Royal Lodge.
The exes still reside together at the lavish property, located on the grounds of Windsor Castle.
Andrew’s name has also come up in Lownie’s book, as the author claimed that the duke can be “unbelievably cruel” to staffers behind closed doors, and has even called one member of staff a “f–king imbecile.”
