Salley Carson Tells ‘WWHL’ That Fans Will See Her “Go After” Austen Kroll In ‘Southern Charm’: “Austen’s Always Been On My Radar”

Salley Carson‘s crush on Craig Conover may soon become a thing of the past in upcoming episodes of Southern Charm. While paying a visit to the Bravo Clubhouse for Wednesday night’s (Jan. 7) episode of Watch What Happens Live, Carson teased that she eventually shifts her focus to a newly single Austen Kroll.

Earlier in Southern Charm Season 11, Carson—who joined the show in Season 10—admitted that she’d be ready to hook up with Kroll the day he and his then-girlfriend Audrey Pratt broke up. With one WWHL fan wondering if Carson has shot her shot since Kroll’s actual split from Pratt, she cheekily teased, “Y’all thought I was thirsty for Craig [Conover]? Y’all just wait.”

“When y’all think I’m going after Craig, like, y’all just wait because you’ll see me going after someone,” Carson added.

So far this season, Carson has also expressed interest in Conover, who had recently gotten out of a three-year relationship with Summer House alum Paige DeSorbo. Despite their many late-night hot tub hangouts, Conover seems to instead be crushing on Southern Charm newbie Charley Manley, who was seated in the WWHL audience last night.

While Carson was certainly “waiting in the wings” for Kroll to become single, she said it wasn’t the same for Conover.

“We just hung out a lot, like, the three of us — me, Charley, and Craig — honestly, every day,” Carson said. “Someone was bound to catch feelings. But Craig was never on my radar. Austen has always been on my radar.”

When asked what it was about Kroll that caught her eye, Carson said, “It’s not just because he’s tall. I’ve dated short men. He’s just become one of my closest friends. There’s not a day that we don’t talk. We were talking in the dressing room. We just have very similar personalities. We have a lot of fun together.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
