In the early hours of Monday morning, Shane escaped on foot, stole an SUV and a handgun, then got in a crash and ditched the vehicle, cops said.
An investigation uncovered that the fugitive then requested an Uber to drop him off at a “residence in south Rockdale,” police said in an update Tuesday morning.
But when police searched the residence, Shane was once again nowhere to be found, authorities added.
He was also spotted in earlier video footage stealing a silver Pontiac Grand Prix near the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, cops said Monday night.
The stolen car was later discovered at a Publix in Henry County.
Shane is 5 feet 9 inches tall, has a buzzed haircut, and was last seen in photos provided by authorities wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and dark blue pants. He also managed to obtain shoes, cops said.
The convict has a history of fleeing and felony drug and weapon charges, according to authorities.
It is not immediately known how he made the daring escape from the hospital.
“He is still considered to be armed and dangerous,” police wrote.
