Robin Williams’ daughter begs fans to stop sending her AI videos of late actor
Robin Williams’ daughter, Zelda Williams, pleaded for fans to stop sending her “gross” artificial intelligence videos of the late actor.
“Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad. Stop believing I wanna see it or that I’ll understand, I don’t and I won’t,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories this week.

“If you’re just trying to troll me, I’ve seen way worse, I’ll restrict and move on. But please, if you’ve got any decency, just stop doing this to him and to me, to everyone even, full stop. It’s dumb, it’s a waste of time and energy, and believe me, it’s NOT what he’d want,” the “Lisa Frankenstein” director, 36, added.
Zelda said watching the “legacies of real people be condensed down” to AI images and videos is “maddening.”
“You’re not making art, you’re making disgusting, over-processed hotdogs out of the lives of human beings, out of the history of art and music, and then shoving them down someone else’s throat hoping they’ll give you a little thumbs up and like it. Gross,” she concluded.
In a follow-up post, the actress urged fans to stop calling AI “the future.”
“AI is just badly recycling and regurgitating the past to be re-consumed,” she wrote.
“You are taking in the Human Centipede of content, and from the very very end of the line, all while the folks at the front laugh and laugh, consume and consume.”
Robin died by suicide after a long battle with depression in August 2014. He was 63.
The “Mrs. Doubtfire” actor welcomed son Zak, 42, with his first wife, Valerie Velardi, in April 1983. He and his second ex-wife, Marsha Garces, then welcomed daughter Zelda and son Cody, 33, in 1988 and 1991, respectively.
After Robin’s passing, his children have honored the late comedian on social media.
Last July, Zak took to X to share a sweet tribute for his father on what would have been the “Jumanji” star’s 73rd birthday.
“Dad, on what would be your 73rd birthday, I remember you for all the hope and joy you brought to the world,” he tweeted alongside a black-and-white image of Robin.
“There’s not a week that goes by without someone sharing with me how you helped them through a dark time or a rough patch. I’m so grateful to be your son. Love you forever.”
Let’s be honest—no matter how stressful the day gets, a good viral video can instantly lift your mood. Whether it’s a funny pet doing something silly, a heartwarming moment between strangers, or a wild dance challenge, viral videos are what keep the internet fun and alive.
