Richard Gere’s son, Cindy Crawford’s daughter unite on set of new show

Richard Gere’s son and Cindy Crawford’s daughter were recently spotted filming a new show together – 30 years after their famous parents divorced in 1995.

Kaia Gerber, 24, and Homer Gere, 25, were pictured on the set of Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series “The Shards” on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

Crawford’s daughter, whom she shares with hubby Rande Gerber, was dressed up in a red outfit with fitted pants and a matching T-shirt. She had a bag hanging over her shoulder and her hair in curls.

Homer, meanwhile, appeared on set in a dark suit and sunglasses. Gere shares the upcoming “Euphoria” star with his ex-wife, Carey Lowell.

“The Shards,” which was first reported to be in the works back in May, is based on author Bret Easton Ellis’ 2023 novel of the same name.

Centered on a fictional serial killer in 1980s Los Angeles, the horror novel is said to incorporate semi-autobiographical details from Ellis’ own early life.

“17-year-old Bret is a senior at the exclusive Buckley prep school when a new student arrives with a mysterious past,” an official description for the story read. “Robert Mallory is bright, handsome, charismatic and shielding a secret from Bret and his friends even as he becomes a part of their tightly knit circle.”

Igby Rigney will portray a young Ellis in the series, per Variety, while Gere’s son will play Robert Mallory and Graham Campbell will appear as a character named Thom. It is currently unclear who Gerber will be starring as in the show.

But this wouldn’t be Crawford’s daughter’s first time teaming up with Murphy. The pair previously worked together in 2021 for the directors’ FX shows “American Horror Story” and “American Horror Stories.”

Crawford, 59, and the “Pretty Woman” star, 76, met at a BBQ hosted by photographer Herb Ritts in 1988 and started “dating straight away,” she told British Vogue during a 2013 interview.

They went on to tie the knot three years later, but separated in 1994 and divorced in 1995. They didn’t welcome any children together.

The fashion model icon looked back at her short-lived marriage to Gere most recently for the AppleTV+ docuseries “The Super Models” back in 2023.

“In the beginning of a relationship, when you’re a young woman, you’re like, ‘You like baseball? I like baseball. You’re really into Tibetan Buddhism? I might be into that. I’ll try that,’” Crawford said.

“You’re willing to kind of mold yourself around whoever you are in love with,” she added. “He was older, so I just was like in a different circle, and not doing some of those same fashiony things anymore.”

Following the pair’s 1995 divorce, Crawford began dating businessman Rande Gerber. The couple married in 1998 before welcoming daughter Presley, 26, and then Kaia two years later.

As for Gere, he tied the knot with actress Carey Lowell two years after the couple welcomed Homer in 2000.

They later divorced in 2016, and the “American Gigolo” star went on to marry Alejandra Silva in 2018. Gere and Silva, 42, have since welcomed sons Alexander and James.
